DIRECT TO FILM
WHAT IS DTF PRINTING?
Direct-to-film or DTF involves printing an image onto a film (using a DTF printer) and then transferring the image onto the fabric using a heat press. This method allows for vibrant and detailed designs on a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, blends, etc.
Unlike DTG printing, which requires pre-treatment of the fabric, DTF printing eliminates the need for pre-treatment, making it a quicker, easier and more cost effective.
DTF'S VERSATILITY
DTF printing offers versatility and the ability to decorate on various types of fabrics, while utilizing vibrant colors, especially on dark fabrics.
On the other hand, Direct to Garment's strength is decorating strictly lightly colored and naturally based garments.
HOW DURABLE IS DTF?
DTF's printing durability is one of its strengths. The film used in the process provides a thicker layer of ink, resulting in a print that can handle rougher treatment. DTF prints have excellent stretchability and resistance to cracking, making them a preferred choice for sportswear or garments that undergo frequent stretching and movement.
